The article analyzes the state and prospects of creating ecosystems in the sharing model – the economy of collaborative consumption (CCE) and sharing (SE). The authors show that the creation of ecosystems is most promising in the SE segment, although individual ecosystems can be formed and used in the CCE segment. Examples of foreign and Russian experience in creating such ecosystems are considered. The article provides a critical analysis of the points of view of foreign authors on the mixing of the principles of the functioning of the sharing economy and the cooperative, collaborative activities of companies. Sharing in many foreign publications is often commercialized while ignoring or obscuring its social essence. Sharing ecosystems are equated to the ecosystems of large corporations (financial, bigtechs), which, as the practice of their functioning testifies, lead to monopolization. At the same time, the sharing model, identified with simple cooperation, collaboration, “fits” into the model of a modern market economy. In Russia, ecosystems are created more often on the basis of large banks, and abroad on the basis of bigtechs. The marketplace model plays a significant role in the formation of ecosystems.
