Abstract

The article analyzes traditional values, such as life, dignity, and human rights and freedoms, in the context of developing principles of housing law. It is concluded that one of the main aspects of supporting traditional values in housing law is the protection of family interests. As the primary solution to the housing issue, the author suggests considering assigning corresponding responsibilities to the state, which should create necessary conditions for citizens to exercise their right to housing. She concludes that the issue of value selection is directly linked to the formation of a comprehensive system of legal principles, achievable only through targeted state legal policy. A significant portion of the population faces serious difficulties in acquiring housing. Taking into account the commitment of the state to the principles of social responsibility, it is of particular importance to take care of all citizens, and not just about their certain categories. The author concludes that the state should legislatively guarantee the right of every person to housing that meets the minimum standards for a decent life, assuming the appropriate responsibility. Addressing the identified issues requires the development of additional measures at both the federal and regional levels.
