Changing the contents and role of factors of production as a source of competitiveness in the modern world

Abstract

The transition to a post-industrial, information society development stage is characterized by a significant change in the role of the main production factors and resources (land, labor, capital). The article analyses the new production resources content in the face of increasing the role of “digital” capital that is invested in information technology, automation, artificial intelligence, robotics and so on. The “digital” equity reflects information basic property - the ease and low cost of replication in conjunction with the global and application simultaneousness. The authors show that this type of capital begins to dominate as the main point of growth in global wealth and competition. A well founded conclusion is made that for the production of “digital” capital national sovereignty is no longer a barrier what makes wars for material resources, labor and intellectual capital, meaningless, but intensifies the struggle for access to the “head” of consumers.
