Abstract
The article substantiates the role of the humanities in the formation of a model for advanced education in the interests of sustainable development within the framework of global transformations, taking into account the influence of modern threats and challenges (technogenic, biogenic, sociocultural, etc.). In the context of the modern educational policy of Russia, the authors present the key elements in the humanitarian component of the model under consideration (professional-competence, value-worldview, spiritual-patriotic and humanitarian-ecological components, digital competencies and soft skills).
