Banking system of Russia. Regional aspect

Abstract
The article provides an assessment of the state of the Russian banking system in the regional context. The study is carried out on the basis of an analysis of a number of socio-economic indicators proposed in one of the methods for assessing the regional banking system. The paper presents and calculates data for federal districts, including indicators of institutional development and characteristics of banks’ activities, such as the value of assets, the share of assets in GRP, loans to the economy. Based on the analysis of the obtained indicators, the features inherent in the banking system at the present stage are highlighted.
